This website, like the websites I work on at my day job and my personal site whatsamattyfo.com are built within Expression Engine.

Their website if you haven’t clicked through opens with a big claim: “say hello to the most flexible web publishing system you’ll ever meet”.

So far I would say it has delivered.

The joy of Expression Engine is that like any good content management system it separates the content from the markup. What makes it special is that it really is flexible and doesn’t really assume much.

That’s good?

Really good, certainly there aren’t all of the templates available via wordpress but that’s fine because EE is really happy if I start a website from scratch and build it up.

Furthermore, it makes administration easy. You can really define exactly what a person logged in can and cannot do. In fact it’s so flexible that we run 6+ websites with 20+ bloggers from one install. Try that with wordpress!

Well my purposes are pretty simple and straight forward but as I get more in depth with it I’ll be sharing tips and advice.
